Use this checklist to implement Atlas CRM in your organization, from installation to go-live. It starts with the configuration of your Atlas CRM instance and provides relevant information for training your users.
Tip: Involve a few key users from the start. They can review your configuration early, test it during the pilot, and help their colleagues after go-live.
Before you start
- Read Core concepts to understand how companies, contacts and sales relate to each other.
- Make sure you have the admin rights needed to install apps on your Atlassian site.
- Choose your key users: a small group of people who will use Atlas CRM daily.
- Decide where your existing customer data will come from (a spreadsheet, another CRM, or manual entry).
Phase 1: Install and set up access
- Install Atlas CRM for Jira. See Installation
- Optional: Install the Atlas CRM app for Confluence if you also want to link Confluence pages to companies, contacts and sales. SeeInstallation
- Choose how users get access. See Access and User roles
Phase 2: Set up companies and contacts
Customize the templates before you add data, so every record gets the right fields from the start.
Phase 3: Set up sales
Set up the template and funnel before users start adding sales.
- Customize the Sale template. See Templates.
- Set your currency. All sales use the same currency, and the default is USD. See Sales configuration.
- Set up the stages of your sales funnel. See Sales configuration .
- Add a few sales yourself to check that the template and funnel work as expected. See Sales.
Phase 4: Connect Atlas CRM to your workflow (optional)
Set up only what your team needs.
- JSM Connect: link customers to Jira Service Management (JSM) so support agents see CRM data on their requests. See JSM Connect.
- Jira custom fields: show Atlas CRM information directly on Jira issues. See Atlas CRM data on Jira issues.
- Automations: automate repetitive tasks. See Automations .
- API: connect Atlas CRM to other systems, such as your website or invoicing software. See API .
Phase 5: Test with key users
- If you use controlled access, grant your key users a user role. See Granting access to Atlas CRM.
- Ask them to use Atlas CRM for their daily work for a set period.
- Collect their feedback and adjust templates, the sales funnel or access where needed.
Phase 6: Roll out to all users
- If you use controlled access, grant all users a user role. You can add users one by one or in bulk by Atlassian group. See Granting access to Atlas CRM.
- Train your users on these topics:
-
-
Linking Jira issues
-
Linking Confluence pages
