Something that is good to know is that when disabling a particular value, that value can still be the current value for existing issues. You can not disable this values created in the past. Disabling a value means you cannot pick that value for new issues.
To disable a value go through the following steps:
Navigate to the project
Go to Project settings
Go to Custom field values
Edit the custom field you would like to disable options for
Press disable to disable an option
Note: When editing existing issues with the disabled value, you are forced to choose another value before you are allowed to save.
To enable a disabled value, go through the following steps:
Navigate to the project
Go to Project settings
Go to Custom field values
Edit the custom field you would like to enable options for
Press enable to enable the option you have previously disabled.
