Connections

A GitLab project must be connected to a monday.com board to view insights from that project in monday.com

Multiple GitLab projects can be connected to a single monday.com board. You can create a new connection from within the item view in monday.com.

Adding & Removing connections

Adding a new connection between a monday.com board and a GitLab project allows you to interact with content from this GitLab project in the item view of the monday.com board. This includes:

• Viewing/creating associated branches,

• Viewing/creating associated merge requests.

How is a branch or merge request associated with a monday.com item?

A branch or merge requests is associated with a monday.com item when the monday.com item-ID is present in the name or description of the GitLab entity.

Removing a connection makes the previously associated branches and merge requests disappear from the item view. Re-creating the connection to the GitLab project will make them appear again.
