Reports can be exported to three different types: Excel, CSV and a monday.com board. The export button will show your last used export type as the "default" option. You can

Create an export

Excel

The Excel export recreates the generated report and turns it into an Excel sheet.

  1. Click on Export.

  2. Select Report table (xlsx).

  3. The file will get downloaded to your computer right away.

CSV

The CSV export will contain the individual time entries that are used in the generated report. These can be used for, for example, further calculations, custom graphs and more.

The exports will be retained and available for download for 30 days.

  1. Click on Export.

  2. Select Time entries (CSV).

  3. Select a timezone.

  4. Select a time format.

  5. Toggle the columns that should be included using the checkboxes.

  6. Click on Export.

  7. In the upper right menu, a spinner should appear on the download button. When the download has finished, a check should be visible.

  8. Click on the download button.

  9. Find your export. When it has finished, click on Download.

  10. The file will get downloaded to your computer right away.

monday.com board

Export to board will create a monday.com item for every individual time entry in the generated report. This allows you to use time entry data in your monday.com instance. You can export to a new board, or to an existing one.

Export to a new board

  1. Click on Export.

  2. Select Export to board.

  3. You can choose another workspace, change the export's name and the board's privacy settings.

  4. Click on Continue.

  5. Select a timezone.

  6. Select a time format.

  7. Toggle the columns that should be included using the checkboxes.

  8. Click on Export.

  9. You can either wait and open the board in a new tab using the View board button, or

  10. In the upper right menu, a spinner should appear on the download button. When the board has finished, a check should be visible.

  11. Click on the download button.

  12. Find your export. When it has finished, click on View board.

  13. The board will open in a new tab.

Export to an existing board

  1. Click on Export.

  2. Select Export to board.

  3. Select an existing board from the dropdown.

  4. Click on Continue.

  5. Select a timezone.

  6. Select a time format.

  7. Click on Continue.

  8. Fill in the column mapping. If you have chosen this board once before, the mapping should be filled in automatically.

  9. Click on Export.

  10. You can either wait and open the board in a new tab using the View board button, or

  11. In the upper right menu, a spinner should appear on the download button. When the board has finished, a check should be visible.

  12. Click on the download button.

  13. Find your export. When it has finished, click on View board.

  14. The board will open in a new tab.
